Terms and Conditions
Orchid Digital Ltd will provide the client with a digital file of the video(s) either via WeTransfer or uploaded straight to a YouTube channel if requested. The client may then use the video(s) for personal or business use as required. However, the video(s) and any contents of that video may not be sold on as a transaction in its own right.
The client must provide / sign off a full video brief before filming, editing, animation or illustration can begin. They must also indicate if they wish to have something specific e.g certain style, graphics, music track etc.
Although Orchid Digital Ltd and the company’s appointed agents shall exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of their duties, it is understood that, in the event of any loss of video recordings, Orchid Digital Ltd will only be responsible for the return of all the money paid to date, although every effort will be made to retake the video.
Where clothing is the choice of the client the impact of these on the final videos are not the responsibilities of Orchid Digital Ltd. Any advice on clothing is purely helpful and Orchid Digital Ltd accepts no responsibility for the choices made.
Orchid Digital Ltd will be responsible for capturing the video image only with appropriate light and sound. The content will be the responsibility of the client and as such the videos cannot be rejected on these grounds. Any graphics, images or scripts supplied by the client to Orchid Digital Ltd are the responsibility of the client and if handed over for the purpose of putting them within the video if shall be
assumed that the client owns full rights to the graphics, images or scripts and Orchid Digital Ltd will take no responsibility for the content.
We retain all copyright over any content we produce for you. Permission is not granted to re-edit, copy or alter the content in any way. If you wish to re-use illustrations for marketing purposes then we require notice and royalties for the use of any digital material shall be paid to Orchid Digital Ltd.
You may cancel the project at any point, but the fee for any work carried out up to that point must be paid for in full. Please note you may be charged a late payment fee if your payments are later than 30 days from the date stated on the invoice.
The price quoted by Orchid Digital Ltd is based purely on the requirements of the client at that time.
Edits will be carried out within 3 weeks of the filming date. The client will have a chance on the draft version to highlight any changes needed.
If the client wishes to have anything extra filmed or edited outside the initial agreement then the extra charges shall be made to the final invoice on delivery of the final product. This also goes for other items such as any extra music tracks, certain shots, specific graphics made by us, change of voice-over artists or presenters. This will be itemised on your invoice.
Travel expenses are charged at 45ppm from GU168NR outside a 10 mile radius.
An initial booking deposit of 20% will be invoiced to secure your film date and taken 7 days prior to the film date. This is non refundable, but in exceptional circumstances where the date has to be moved the deposit shall be used for the new date at no additional cost. Final and remaining payment will be invoiced after the final delivery of your product or 1 month after the filming date (which ever is sooner). You may pay either via BACs or cheque. Should you wish to pay via PayPal then there is a 5% extra
charge.
If either party has Covid-19 symptoms then rescheduling will take place at least 3 weeks after your diagnosis (we will not charge any fee for rescheduling due to Covid-19). If possible when filming, please make sure you take a test the day before.
